News & Events Coordinator

£19,000-£21,000 based on experience, 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays

We are recruiting for a News & Events Coordinator to join a successful publishing company based in central Edinburgh.   Responsibilities:
  • Source event information and articles for publishing
  • Invite professionals to write articles
  • Source upcoming event information
  • Build, nurture and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Networking
  • Bring together reports, previews, and events in print as well as digital platforms
  • Occasionally attend meetings/events/exhibitions – mainly in the UK
  • Uploading data onto website and use of Social Media platforms
Person Specification:
  • Good communicator with excellent people skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience in using Social Media platforms
  • Willingness to learn and evolve with the role
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Must be methodical, enthusiastic and professional
  • Publishing experience beneficial
